The varied terrain of mountains, valleys, lakes, and rivers makes the Shuswap perfect for outdoor adventures of all kinds. In the summer, the water is irresistible, waiting to be experienced – by houseboat, paddling, swimming, and playing on pristine beaches. Annual events like the famous Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival, Squilax Pow-Wow, Falkland Stampede, Chase Cornstock celebrate all that the area has to offer – rich heritage, great music, art, and theatre, agriculture, and community.

There’s lots of family fun to be found around the region, from classics like mini-golf and go-karts to unique enchanted forests, zip-lines, farm tours, and plenty of parks.
