About Shuswap Economic Development

Shuswap Economic Development works to stimulate projects that support businesses, individuals, other economic development organizations, and community stakeholders. Our services initiate process, policies, and sustainable development – so that communities can improve the economic, political, and social well being of their residents. 

Regional Districts have a mandate to support and offer assistance for economic development within their region.  Shuswap Economic Development was formed in 1998 to work within the geographic boundaries of the District of Sicamous and Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) Electoral Areas C, D, E, and F, all detailed further within our Region Overview section. Shuswap Economic Development also manages Shuswap Tourism and the Columbia Shuswap Film Commission.
